Your claims
ZipRail fills in the form in your name: TfL's, or the train company's. You sign in on their own page, check the form and press Submit.
TfL and the train companies decide each claim and pay you directly. We can't see or change a claim you have sent.
TfL or the train company?
You tap in with contactless on the Tube and on National Rail trains. In and around London, TfL charges you for both. But when a National Rail train runs late, you claim Delay Repay from the train company that ran it, not from TfL.
A late Tube, DLR, London Overground or Elizabeth line journey is claimed from TfL. ZipRail works out which is which, leg by leg, and opens the right form.
Your password
Your password goes only to TfL or the train company. Never to us. Sign-in happens on their own page, inside ZipRail.
If you save your TfL password, it stays on this iPhone, behind Face ID or your passcode, and never goes to iCloud. To delete it, turn saving off in Settings. Disconnect deletes it too. Delete it before you delete ZipRail, or it may stay on your iPhone.
Your founder code
The first 1000 people to use ZipRail get a founder code. You'll find it in Settings. Save a copy somewhere other than your iPhone. On a new iPhone, enter it on the first screen, before you connect TfL.
Alerts
Turn them on in Settings → Alerts. Add the TfL lines and National Rail routes you travel on, with your times and days. If one has unplanned delays during your times, ZipRail tries to alert you the next morning. Then open ZipRail to check your journeys.
Turn alerts off at any time. Our server then deletes what it kept.
Delete your data
Go to Settings → Disconnect and delete my data, at the bottom of Settings. The privacy notice says what it deletes.
